Azamara Announces a World Cruise

Azamara Cruises, a small, luxury cruise line based out of Miami, Florida, announced today a world cruise that is being touted as “All 7 Wonders of the World and more”.  Focusing on an immersive experience aboard its ship the Azamara Onward, the global voyage with its wide-ranging itinerary and cultural highlights will provide guests with an unparalleled journey.

Azamara buys fourth cruise ship

Less than a week after equity firm Sycamore Partners announced it would buy Azamara, they have announced they bought another cruise ship.

Azamara has purchased Pacific Princess from Princess Cruises.

Princess Cruises announced it would sell Pacific Princess, but declined to say who the buyer was.

Azamara sold for $201 million

Boutique luxury cruise line Azamara has been sold to a private equity group.

Royal Caribbean Group announced on Tuesday it has agreed to sell Azamara to Sycamore Partners for $201 million in all-cash deal. The deal is subject to certain adjustments and closing conditions.

Once the deal is completed, Sycamore will acquire the entire Azamara brand, including its three-ship fleet and associated intellectual property. 

Azamara removes casino as part of Azamara Quest refurbishment

Azamara Club Cruises has finalized refurbishments to Azamara Quest following her recent Singapore dry dock.

Azamara Quest now boasts a number of enhancements, including the removal of the casino – replicating Azamara Pursuit’s “The Den”; a newly designed gift shop, and the addition of six new Ocean View staterooms.

Azamara Club Cruises announces 2021-2022 sailings

 Azamara Club Cruises revealed details of its global 2021 and early 2022 deployment, featuring brand new destinations, more overnights and new Grand Voyages.

The cruise line will offer over  140 overnight stays around the world. In particular, guests on Azamara will discover expanded itineraries to Eastern Europe in the Black Sea and Turkey, including overnights in Istanbul and calls to hidden gems including Antalya and Sinop.

Azamara Club Cruises has 15 new signature evening events designed to connect guests to the local culture of a destination.

Azamara Club Cruises announced a series of special voyages throughout 2019 and 2020 that allow guests the chance to sail back-to-back cruises through different regions.

Designed for those with ample time and the inclination to explore, Grand Voyages consist of two, three or more consecutive individual voyages - all featuring exciting combinations of more than 25 popular and lesser-known ports that allow guests to really get under the skin of one or more regions.

Azamara closes out Australia cruise season

Azamara Club Cruises bid farewell to Australia as the 690-guest Azamara Quest wrapped up her season in Australia.

The ship arrived in Sydney Harbour today, which marked the end of Azamara’s fourth and longest season down under, as well as Quest’s last visit for some years, as Azamara Journey and Pursuit will be deployed down under for the following two summer cruise seasons.

Aussie Turtle Expert Joins Azamara WWF Speaker Series

Azamara Club Cruises announced today it will feature a conservation expert aboard Azamara Quest to educate guests on what they can to help protect marine turtles including the endangered hawksbill turtle.

Christine Hof, renowned marine biologist and WWF Marine Species Project Manager, joins the 14-night Australia and Indonesia voyage departing Cairns on 8 March as part of the line’s WWF Guest Speaker Series.
